Boda Boda's banned in towns, in new regulations

Nairobi - Boda Boda's will be banned from entering major towns in the country in new regulations from the transport ministry.
The regulations, published by transport cabinet secretary Michel Kamau Thursday, will ban the movement in and out of major towns and cities by the boda boda's.
Statistics have previously indicated rising deaths on Kenyan roads thanks to the increase in boda boda use in the country and the new rules are meant to reduce the impact.
The government has previously also flirted with the idea of banning night travel by the motorcycles, but the idea did not fully take off.
According to figures released by the National Transport Safety Authority NTSA, the use of boda boda's has increased fatalities in accidents by over 50%.
