Blog: Weddings Are Not Hunting Grounds For Husbands…

03 May 2012, 15:50VIBEWEEKLY

I was invited for a wedding last weekend in Mombasa, yet another East African lady was being ‘stolen’ by a Nigerian broda. The wedding was beautiful and the bride and groom looked fantastic.

In fact the wedding was perfect in each and every sense until the husband hunters checked in. Ladies, whosoever told you that weddings are a place to hunt for husbands ought to be thrown in boiling oil because they lied to you. Unlike bars, funerals and churches…other popular gatherings that women frequent to hunt for husbands…weddings are a place for laughter and easy quick lays for all the single men and the thought of marriage is the very last one to any who attend weddings.

I saw desperate women wear handkerchiefs around their waists (intended to be skirts) to the wedding hoping to catch a potential husband, a Nigerian one preferably. They flirted vigorously and shamelessly…if it was the 29th of February am sure over 20 proposals would have been made on the spot.
