Be careful, GG warns TNA members

Former Internal Security Minister G.G Kariuki has urged members of The National Alliance party to be keen so as to ensure transparency and fairness during nomination.
The veteran politician who served in both President Kenyatta and Moi’s government said that the party’s secretariat should ensure that it does not favor any aspirant because of his or her wealth.
“This is the time where you find that some wealthy aspirants connect with the top party officials so as so gain favor in the nominations. Our members should be watchful so that the best person wins fairly. If there will be no fairness, then TNA will be no more,” he warned.
The former Laikipia West Mp spoke to his supporters at Hotel Sixty Two in Nanyuki town where he urged them to follow the exercise closely so that they get the ideal candidates from the nominations.
Kariuki who is contesting for the Laikipia County Senator seat on a TNA ticket said that his age is a consolidation of knowledge, adding that he has the capacity of taking Laikipia to prosperity.
“Kenya can be governed by a person from any tribe but Kenyans themselves should elect a leader who will address their issues satisfactorily,” noted G.G.
He urged Laikipia residents not to be misled by aspirants who always shower money to them in order to win their votes.
