Armed thugs raid school, steal computers and books

Nyeri - Armed thugs have raided Mutathi-ini secondary school in Tetu, Nyeri County and stole computers, text books and other stationeries.
The Wednesday night incident left the guard with severe injuries, according to deputy Principal, Washington Wachira.
Speaking at the school compound, Wachira said the gang invaded the school at 3.00am armed with crude weapons ordered the guard to lie down, tied him with ropes and assaulted him before locking him inside the school kitchen.

He added that the gang broke into the secretary’s office and ransacked everything before stealing the said items.
“A neighbor raised alarm after hearing some confrontations within the school premises, prompting the thugs to escape,” said Wachira.
He said police have already visited the school and are investigating the matter.
