Nakuru - Four occupants of an Eldoret - bound private car died on the spot after their car was involved in a grisly road accident Tuesday morning near the Nakuru Teachers College along the Nakuru-Salgaa Road.
According to Salgaa Base Commander, Alex Mumo, a trailer headed for Nakuru from Eldoret was trying to overtake a vehicle ahead before colliding head on with the small car, killing four occupants instantly. The vehicle's driver sustained serious injuries.
“The four who died in the 5.45am accident include three men and a lady. The driver has been taken to Nakuru general hospital for treatment but the lorry’s driver didn’t get any injuries,” said Mumo on phone.
The four bodies were taken to Nakuru Municipal Mortuary while the car wreckage together with the lorry were towed to the Salgaa traffic base.
The incident comes merely two days after two accidents claimed three lives along the Nakuru-Salgaa-Kibunja black spot on Saturday.
