Nairobi - An angry defence PS Mutea Iringo has threatened to sue Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba over claims he bribed members of parliament.
Iringo said Monday before a parliamentary Committee probing bribery allegations that reports he had bribed MPs to have his name removed from a corruption report were false.
He added that he would take action on the MP for soiling his name.
" I have never bribed an MP and have had no intention to in the past," he said at parliament building.
He told the Powers and Privileges Committee Monday that he had nothing to do with the alleged bribe of KES 1.5 million, he is said to have offered MPs.
Ababu had claimed in a recording and during his appearance before the Committee that Iringo was to blame for bribing MPs.
" I will take action if the reports that I have been taking part in bribery continue, he said after the session.
" My name and reputation is at stake and such allegations will not be taken lightly, he added.
Nakuru North MP Samuel Arama has also denied allegations that he received KES 200,000 from Iringo.
