Andrew Kenneth sparks ballistic reactions
07 November 2012, 15:50
In his spirited fight and desire to bring concrete change to this nation, Gatanga legislator Peter Kenneth (PK) unveiled his presidential bid in an already hotly contested race with an ambition to take over from the sitting and retiring President Mwai Kibaki.
Vying on a Kenya National Congress (KNC) ticket, PK ushered in a new style of leadership in a well presented speech at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC) in front of an ecstatic crowd which had his backing for what they believe he stood for.
But what has brewed more debate since the launch is the speech and presentation which was articulated by his son Andrew Kenneth (AK).
For the past two days, Andrew is alive in people’s memories after delivering one of the greatest endorsements a father could have ever received from his son.
The befitting endorsement caught Peter Kenneth himself by surprise, who admitted that he is very proud of him.
In his speech, Andrew expressed confidence in his father whom he believed was able to deliver to the Kenyan people the aspirations he had and the promise he had made to them should he emerge victorious come the March 4th general elections.
After winding up his speech, all attention was drifted from the main man - Peter Kenneth - to his son Andrew Kenneth who caught the attention of all ladies and women of all ages, seeking to hear more from him.
Much has been talked about the good looks and articulate speech of the gentleman who is only nineteen years of age.
His latest public appearance is even expected to contribute towards the swaying of more votes from the undecided lot of voters over to his dad.
Whether this is true or not, we are yet to hear a forecast from the local opinion poll stars.
Following that infamous speech, many unknown individuals have taken the advantage of the new kid in the block and created fake twitter handles and Facebook pages with an aim of masking the digital populace.
A good example is the one that reads “Campus Divas For Andrew Kenneth (TunawesMATE)” plus another which goes like “Campus Niggaz for Andrea Kenneth”.
Several other dubious accounts have been emerging all over the social media in a bid to lure attention from the ever active Facebook users.
However, Peter Kenneth made it clear on Tuesday afternoon that the purported twitter and Facebook profiles are not real and Kenyans should not be hoodwinked by opportunists who want to tarnish their good name.
PK further went ahead to share links to the legit social networking profiles of his son: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Andrew-Kenneth/292240950888179 and @AndrewKenneth9.
Andrew’s sister also issued the legit address to his brother’s page.
In an effort to rubbish off all the fake accounts under his name, Andrew also updated his Facebook page last evening stating that the profile on https://m.facebook.com/AndrewKennethKenya?slog=334027185&seq=1208347312&rk=8&fbtype=65&__user=816111906 is fake and shall be reported and removed.
