Alleged wife abuser circumsised by youths

20 March 2014, 17:17

Nairobi - A middle aged man suffered injuries after angry youths stormed his house in Magundu village and marched him naked  to the shores of river Kathita where they performed a circumcision ritual the odd way and left him for dead.

Henry Mwenda, whom according to the neighbours bully's his wife, was confronted by the furious youths after he attempted to abuse his wife last night for coming late after attending a mary-go round meeting.

Mwenda's wife, Mary Wanja said when she opened entered their house she was greeted with a smack to her face that toppled her balance.

"I hardly dragged myself to the doors corner and cowardly threatened him to stop beating me or else I would  open up to his college youths that he was not circumcised", she said.

"I then screamed for help when he throttled me by the neck", she added.

A group of youths from the neighborhood who were on their way to the nearby market to go watch a soccer match, came to the Wanja's rescue.

Once Wanja had explained her story to the youths, they reached for Mwenda's pants and proceeded to march him down the river singing traditional Kimeru songs.

Once they had reached the river, one of the youths reached for a knife and proceeded to cut off the mans foreskin the ritual the old way and left Mwenda lying in a heap.

A good Samaritan who asked to stay anonymous, needed to hide from the angry youths who were singing-dancing, came to Mwenda's rescue and took him to the nearby Magundu clinic where the man was treated and left to stay until the morning.
