Kisumu - Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Ole Lenku said aliens without proper identification documents are now fleeing from Nairobi to other major towns in the country because of the ongoing security operation.
The CS who was addressing members of the provincial administration from Nyanza on Tuesday, directed all security operatives in all major towns to be on the look out and ensure that those fleeing the security operation in Nairobi get no safe haven in their respective towns.
He said that security personnel are aware of the migration to the towns and are in pursuit of all people who are in the country illegally, adding that the security personnel will not relent, or stop the anti terror operation
"Intelligence reports indicate that the foreigners are now busy trying to get identification documents in towns such as Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru and other areas," he said and cautioned officers involved in the issuance of identification documents to keenly check on the applicants to ensure only valid Kenyans are issued with the said documentations.
He also assured the provincial administration personnel of their jobs despite the existence of the devolved system of government.
