Kiambu - Kiambu Women Representative, Anna Nyokabi has attributed the increased terrorist attacks to the recruitment of youths in the country, including central Kenya.
Speaking at Limuru Tuesday, Nyokabi said the rate at which youths are being conscripted into the Al Shabaab terror group is worrying.
“The youth are being paid to join the group. In one constituency in Kiambu, these young men are being given KES 50 000 to join the group," said Nyokabi.
She added that the recruitment is also targeting people as young as primary school pupils.

Nyokabi called upon the residents of Limuru to be on the lookout for recruiters and recruits.
"I am sure that the recruitment has not started here in Limuru," Nyokabi reiterated.
With the high rate of poverty in areas like Kiambu, the youth can find the payment by Al Shabaab tempting.
