Akasha's sons held over drug trafficking claims

Mombasa - Officers from the Anti-Narcotics Unit in Mombasa are holding two sons of slain drug baron Ibrahim Akasha and three other men in custody over alleged drug trafficking.
Baktash Akasha, Abdalla Vijaygri, Anandgiri Goswami, Kulam Hussein, and Ibrahim Akasha Abdalla, were arrested on Sunday in a raid on their home in Nyali estate, Mombasa county
Police asked the court for 14 days to enable them complete their investigations.
The four were arrested in connection with 98 packets of heroine seized in Nairobi.

The drugs were seized during a transaction pursuant to a control delivery that had been requested by the US government.
The accused are also alleged to be part of a group of drug barons who have been trafficking drugs between Kenya and the United States of America.
