Airtel bags best advertising campaign in MSK Awards

Nairobi - Airtel Kenya bagged the best advertising campaign award during the Annual MSK Gala award ceremony.
The award was in recognition of the Shikisha Story na Airtel (5X) advertising campaign. Ogilvy Africa, Airtel’s agency behind the advertising campaign was also awarded for the creativity behind Shikisha Story na Airtel.
“It is an honor for Airtel that our advertisement has been chosen as the best advertising campaign of the year at this year’s MSK Awards,” Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi said while accepting the award.
“As we strive to bring more innovative products, services and campaigns to the marketplace, our focus remains on providing our customers with opportunities to make positive change by combining technological advances with cost-efficient solutions. This award highlights our dedications to strategic and creative marketing,” he added.
This year’s awards were graced by Marketing Society of Kenya chairman Tony Gatheca, Kenya National Chamber of Commerce chairman Kiprono Kittony and Industrialisation cabinet secretary Adan Mohamed.

MSK is the national umbrella body for all marketers in Kenya whose key mandate is to empower and regulate the marketing industry by creating policy that governs the industry, education and training of professionals, corporates and entrepreneurs, marketing and business mentorship and arbitration through the Advertising Standards Board.

MSK Awards is the biggest event in the marketing profession and brings together practicing marketers from across all sectors and sees excellent marketing campaigns get recognized. The winners were picked by an independent panel of judges drawn from the industry.
