Airtel and Manchester United Soccer Clinic kicks off

Dar es Salaam - The Airtel and Manchester United Soccer Clinic kicked off on Thursday at Azam Complex, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The training which marks the beginning of the Airtel Rising Stars tournament for 2014 was officially launched by Tanzania’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mahadhi Juma Maalim, Airtel Tanzania managing director Sunil Colaso and other invited guests.
The five-day clinic will see more than 70 girls and boys go through intensive soccer training under coaches from Manchester United soccer schools.
It gives the youngsters a unique opportunity to learn from the wealth of football experience from Manchester United soccer school’s curriculum which seeks to produce well balanced soccer players who can play attractive attacking game.
The program is set to train on technical, physical and behavioral aspects of football.
The Kenyan players set to benefit from the clinic are Gerald John Oketch from Upper Hill School, Mwanahalima Adam Jereko, from St John’s Kaloleni, Owuor Lily Awuor from Olympic High and Ibrahim Mohamed from Kathungi Secondary.
The four are looking forward to take their football skills to a whole new level with the world-class training that they will undergo during the clinic.
