Ababu condemns Homa Bay chaos

Nairobi - ODM Secretary General Ababu Namwamba has condemned the chaos that took place in Homa Bay during party nominations.
The chaos that took place Monday during Senatorial nominations saw the process derailed after rowdy youth destroyed ballot papers and boxes that were due to be used for the nominations.
And speaking of the violence that took place, Namwamba said it was highly unfortunate that such incidences have occurred.
" As a party, we condemn what happened in the strongest terms possible and urge the police to investigate the matter and prosecute those responsible for the chaos."
He further advised that all aspirants in the nomination meet the party's top brass in Nairobi on Tuesday.
" All the aspirants for the party ticket have been advised to come to Nairobi for a meeting with the National Elections Board Commissioners at the party headquarters where an appropriate announcement shall be made, he added.
He also called on the supporters to remain calm in the current situation.
" We also call on supporters to remain calm at this time and let the national office come up with a solution to the current matter, he added.
There are 8 candidates seeking nomination, led by the late Senator Otieno Kajwang’s brother
Moses, veteran politician Philip Okundi, Caroli Omondi, a former aide to
party leader Raila Odinga, Ochieng Mbeo, Oyugi Kambona, Tom Mboya, Fred
