AFC Leopards to sign up new players

10 May 2012, 16:26John Maigwa

AFC Leopards Coach Jan Koops says that he will sign three new players during the June Transfer window. Koops however could not disclose the names of the players but says that they are top cream Kenyan Premier League players.

The Tactician says that they are aiming at strengthening there weak departments with rumour rife that they are signing two midfielders and one striker.

Koops says that he has already finalized on the signing of one player while the other two are in the pipeline.
AFC leopards have been on a slump of late after a brilliant start to the league. They have only collected one point in their last three games and the gap between them and the chasing pack has reduced.

After Sofapaka’s 2-0 win over Mathare United, Leopards are now only a point above Batoto Ba Mungu, and two above Tusker who play Chemelil on Friday.

At the same time, Mumias Sugar Managing Director Evans Kidero has promised Ingwe a whooping 180,000 shillings for every match they win in their remaining first leg fixtures. This will be a motivation to the players and they next play Sony Sugar on Saturday.
