AAR insurance expands to Nyeri

The AAR insurance company has established Nyeri County as a commercially active region and a business hub.
Speaking during the opening of the company’s new branch in Nyeri town, the company’s General Manager Caroline Munene said all major sectors of Kenya’s economy are represented in the County.
“The economic activities have led to the growth of small and medium enterprises as entrepreneurs continually seek business opportunities here,” said Caroline, adding that the middle class is growing step by step with the economy.
She pointed out that the opening of the new branch is not by accident but by design.
The Nyeri branch is the second after Thika where AAR has invested within the Mount Kenya region.
Caroline said that was a part of the orchestrated expansion programme that will see AAR taking its insurance products to more regions in the country.
The company has ventured into offering more products including personal insurance, domestic insurance, Worker Injury Benefit Act (WIBA) and professional indemnity which will be distributed using a variety of channels.
The new Branch Manager Charles Maina Njema said the products are fresh and innovative and have been redesigned from the ground to offer greater value to clients.
“AAR insurance believes in creating and providing products and services that put clients in control. Insurance is not a service that should be sought out of fear of the unknown or potential danger. Rather, insurance is a service that is part and parcel of lives of individuals and institutions that prefer to have control,” he pointed out.
Maina added that local economic opportunities provided by activities like tea, coffee, beef and dairy farming accorded AAR Insurance with a market that is ripe with opportunity.
“This heightened economic activity is even more pronounced with the devolved system of government which is supportive to increment of business opportunities,” he stated.
Nyeri County Deputy Governor Samuel Githaiga Wamathai commended the company for opening a fully fledged branch in the County.
He said it was a clear demonstration of faith by the business community in Nyeri’s economic potential.
