A male lie detector for the ladies

18 September 2014, 16:39 Shakila Alivitsa

Nairobi - Women fall easy prey to lies. How do you know if the man in your life is a hoax? Here's how.

He does not take you anywhere

The man is always out, even on weekends, yet he never takes you. You tell yourself maybe it was business, but his Facebook update shows him with some woman at Masaku’s. Then you tell yourself at least he came back to me; wrong. He came back in the cloak of darkness, and will live the same way but not with you.

You do not know his friends

You have never met his friends or any of his family. And if you bump into him, he will just introduce you as an acquaintance and you will swallow it, or he will duck and pretend he has not even seen you. Not because he has a girlfriend, but because you are not good enough for him to introduce as a girlfriend. He does not really care if some other man will have you, as long as it’s not him.

No effort in his part

He simply does not care about you or your life. You go out of your way to make life comfortable for him, yet he is not aware of it, buy him birthday gifts, yet he does not know when yours is. You are out there stressing yourself over him. You mess up at work, friendships, and your business all because you are chasing after Onyango to make him love you. Yet Onyango is somewhere doing something that concerns only him not the both of you like a trip to Mombasa with the boys.

Are you afraid to challenge him?

This is the script I was talking about, you are afraid of saying something or doing something that will lead into an argument or a difference of opinion with the man. If you cannot be yourself with someone, then that is just some fake relationship you are on. It will even irritate you in the end, and if it does not, you are just weak and in love with the idea of being in a relationship.
