A guide for the single lady

Nairobi - Do you really want a relationship or you just do not want to be the single one in your groupie. Ladies are at times afraid of attention, the attention you get from a pity party. Happens when you are the single one in a group and everyone forgets why you really met and they start getting worried that you will be the only one without a partner for some stupid game or a planned trip for the weekend.
I think that if you are the single one in the group, then embrace it and tell those trying to be in your business to go bake something if they are that idle. Sometimes its just better to tell people to their faces that you are okay rather than suffer through their attempts of making you acceptable to them. You are a whole person, you do not need another person to fill you up.
Do not be afraid of being single, attack a certain spectrum of your life that has been lacking attention. You do not need to be hooked up on a blind-date by a friend who is worried. You do not need to settle a few months of your life on a person you are not really interested in. Just think of what you can accomplish with that time on your own. Take the weekend and make a solo trip out of it. If you are invited for a couple’s thing then make a threesome with those who do not mind because they might suck at the game you are good at.

Being single gives you time to see yourself clearly. You make future plans for you and not you and someone else. You relearn to be self-sufficient and not dependent on another person. You have time to build new relationships and not suffer through a double date with people you do not like but have to like for your significant other. You save money from not buying anniversary gifts or date nights, you can concentrate on your career and take up new hobbies.
Generally, all the time you could have spent on an non- meaningful relationship goes into you. But this only works if you want it. Some just prefer the pity party and mopping around feeling sad for themselves. You just need to decide, which are you?
