A car dealer was charged for possessing unregistered car

Mombasa - A renowned car dealer in Mombasa County has been charged in a Mombasa court for being possession of unregistered car by the Kenya Revenue Authority and abstracting a police officer from conducting his duty.
Jared Kuboka denied the charges before magistrate Victoria Kachuadho .
Its alleged that on September 3 2013 at Ganjoni in Mombasa county, Kuboka was found in possession of a motor vehicle valued at KES 1.2million.
He was also charged with obstructing a police officer from doing his duty; it’s alleged that on the same date, Kuboka stopped a police officer from impounding his car.
The prosecution made an application before the court to have the matter be consolidated with another criminal case 2096/2013 already before the same court.
He was released on a cash bail of KES 200,000 with a surety with a cash bail of a similar amount.
The case will be had on April 8 2014.
