90 MPs gang up to impeach Waiguru

Nairobi - A Jubilee Coalition MP has re-ignited the motion to impeach Devolution CS Anne Waiguru after previous attempts failed to go through.
Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter has resubmitted the motion which failed last week due to lack of numbers.
He says that he has the support of 90 MPs, which is three more than is required to get the motion read on the floor of the house.
Last week, Speaker Justin Muturi threw out the motion in the house since it had failed to meet the threshold by seven, with only 80 MPs having signed up for the motion.
" We have 90 MPs on board and we trust that the Speaker will do the right thing and have the motion put up for debate," he said Thursday.
The motion will need 117 MPs to vote for it to ensure Waiguru is impeached.
Keter has also previously claimed that some MPs have been paid off by Waiguru to ensure the motion fails to get going.
Keter wants Waiguru to leave office even if temporarily after it was confirmed that KES 791 million was lost at the National Youth Service NYS which is under Waiguru's watch.
