Nyahururu - A 77-year old granny was today arraigned in Nyahururu court for allegedly defiling an eight year old girl.
James Nyang'au denied the charges before resident magistrate Ms Victoria Ochanda and was released on Sh 300, 000 bond with a surety of a similar amount.

The court further heard that members of the public who responded to alarm managed to arrest the suspect and frogged matched him to Ol-Jabet police station where he was rearrested and charges preferred against him, while the minor was rushed to Ol-Jabet Health Centre where she was treated and discharged.
The case will be heard on June 27 and mentioned on June 16, this year
