Isiolo - Police in Isiolo are interrogating seven men who were allegedly seized with suspected radicalization materials.
County Commissioner George Natembeya confirmed that the seven were arrested in Isiolo town on different dates in possession of Compact Disks (CD) about radicalization.
Natembeya said police will investigate them to establish whether they have any links with cartels involved in recruiting young men from Isiolo into Al-Shabaab terror group.
“Police have to complete their investigations before the suspects are arraigned in court since Isiolo is a known ground for recruiting youths to the outlawed militia,” he said.

The administrator said one of the suspects is believed to have been involved in radicalization of six youths who ran away from their homes to join the terror group, three of whom were intercepted before they crossed the Kenya-Somalia border.
He said that three others from Tullo-Roba area in Isiolo town who are still missing are suspected to be on their way to Somalia to join Al Shabaab.
Natembeya maintained that the returnees had been separated from their recruiters so as not to tamper with investigations.
