5 reasons you need to quit that relationship, today!

26 February 2016, 11:04

Nairobi - One question I keep asking is why people stay in relationships even when it is obvious things are not working out .Is it that they fail to read obvious  signs or do they just ignore them?

Most times, I just feel people are confused when it comes to quitting useless relationships. Why suffer in a relationship that is absolutely not going anywhere. If you have seen these signs in your relationship, quickly take a bow:

If your partner withdraws emotionally or physically

If this happens, try to find out why. However, if you realize they are finding the situation comfortable, then you should move on to a more comfortable relationship.

You have become indifferent towards them

If you are in that point where you neither hate nor love them and completely indifferent towards them, then it is time to call it quits! Indifference is worse than hatred because you don't care anymore.

When they stop saying “I love you’’

As simple as it is the 3 - worded phrase is powerful and makes your partner feel appreciated.

I don’t say your partner should say "I love you" every minute, but they should say it once in a while. If you can’t remember the last time they mentioned the phrase then it is time to pay more attention to your relationship! What is the purpose of being in a relationship if he/she is not in love with you?

If they lose interest in you or things revolving around you

People that love you care about what you are interested in especially things that concern or excite you most. If they can't show some care as you do to them, pack up!

You are happier when they are not around

If you would rather have them away than around you, then you have surely come to the end of that relationship! What else to call them if not nuisance? Don't wait for them to quit, because they might just be expecting you to use your senses and walk!

Don't waste your very precious time for nothing! It's never easy to quit, but if you have read these signs, tried making things work and have failed completely, quitting is justifiable. Waiting for your partner to expressly end the relationship might take a whole lot of time because it is never easy to look people in the eyes and tell them you are no longer interested.

You need to open your eyes to know when you are in a relationship that is already over.
