5 months later, KDF quiet on El Adde attack

Nairobi - Five months down the line, despite hundreds of inquiries, the KDF is yet to announce the exact numbers of those killed in the El Adde attack which took place in January.
The attack took place January 15 and to this date, key facts of what took place in the attack are yet to emerge or as some say, have been hidden by the KDF intentionally.
No official numbers of those who were in the camp when the attack took place have been released.
Nor have the number of those who died and were injured and repatriated home.
Or the missing.
It has been one endless long story from the KDF once enquiries are made.
" Ask upstairs. I have said before. I am not in a position to divulge details," Military spokesperson David Obonyo has told News24 countless times.
As to whether the government will ever release the figures, that will never be known.
" It is still an ongoing matter. We are still working and investigating what happened and as soon as we are clearly in the know, we will tell Kenyans," military chief Samson Mwathethe said back in February.
The wait continues.
