Isiolo - Five Somali nationals have been arrested travelling in a bus in Garbatulla in Isiolo County.
They included three men, a woman and a six-year-old boy and were allegedly travelling to Nairobi, according to Garbatulla Deputy County Commissioner Kipchumba Rutto
Rutto said they were suspected to have originated from Dagahaley refugee camp in Garissa County, before they were arrested in Eldera area, Isiolo County, without legal documents allowing them to be in the country.
He warned transporters and public service vehicles against ferrying illegal immigrants.
Rutto particularly cautioned bus companies to desist from the practice saying most aliens are helped by transporters to unlawfully gain access into the country.
He called on security agencies to conduct thorough inspections of commuter buses plying the routes so as to stop the illegal businesses.
Two months ago 12 Ethiopia aliens were arrested in the County and are awaiting repatriation to their home country.
Isiolo police boss, Charles Ontita confirmed that the repatriation documents have been prepared by the immigration and foreign affairs offices.
The suspects were arrested along Isiolo-Marsabit highway without legal documents to be in the country
