42 year old man accidentally shot on the head during a rescue mission

Nakuru - A 42-year-old man is fighting for his life at Nakuru Level Five Hospital with a bullet lodged in his skull after he was shot on the head by Njoro Sub county OCS.
The victim John Maina was among members of the public who stormed a home in Huruma Estate, Njoro on Wednesday where two children had been confined for two years.
The members of the public had vowed to lynch the mother of the two who they accused of been involved in drug trafficking.
They also claimed that the woman colluded with local police officers hence she enjoyed police protection.
The morning rescue mission of the two children aged 4 and 13 years turned tragic when the police in plain clothes stormed the home and the victim was caught in the crossfire and shot on the head.
Speaking at the hospital bed, Maina writhed in pain pointed that, he was touched by the plight of the two children both boys being confined in the house without food.
Nakuru Police Commander Hassan Barua confirmed that the woman has been locking her two children in the house under mysterious circumstances.
