4 ways to bounce back from a failed relationship

02 February 2016, 22:43 Shakila Alivitsa

Nairobi - Maybe you should consider the following.

Stop playing games with other people or let other people do the same to you

If you want to call, my advice is call. If you want to follow up on a date; then do so. Keeping quiet has never solved anyone’s problems and they surely will not do so for yours. If you feel like the other person is not being upfront with you or acting as you expect; then call them out. One of you needs to hand the other one their matching papers. At least you will not have wasted your time.

Put your ego and pride aside

In order for a lot of people to do the above then that is because they actually asked themselves, ‘What is more important; how I look at the end of the day or the relationship I might end up enjoying with this person?’

At times you try to communicate with the other person and they keep blowing hot and cold; you can only take so much but at least you tried.

Not everyone is out to get you

Just because you have had one bad relationship or situation; does it mean that you have to treat other people badly or mess with someone else.  You cannot judge another person’s actions solely on a previous experience. Dating is about taking a chance on someone. It can end up bad but is can also end up very good.

You might just have to sacrifice yourself and your good intuition in finding the perfect partner.

Always keep in mind; it was fun while it lasted

Even though it does not work out, ‘It was fun while it lasted!’ If it was not fun for you, you are dating the wrong people. But in order for you to avoid being bitter about bad situations and whatnot; try imagining the fun you had while getting out there at least.
