4 tips to dating a man with anger issues

14 March 2016, 22:23 Shakila Alivitsa

Nairobi - It can be a bit of a scary thing when you are dating someone and eventually, when you are so deep in your cups about them, you realize that they have a temper to go with them. You like everything; but the temper is a deal breaker but what the heck, other people are dealing with worse. You tell yourself!

While dating, for some you can just walk away from the situation if it becomes to bear but what if you are married or end up getting married to this person? What do you do?

I have always learned that you can do a lot of things wrong but walking away never looks wrong in a lot of situations

Notice a situation that is about to be explosive? Walk away. Notice that a spouse is about to go off the hinges? Let them be and find your space. If you are the type that wants to win every argument or you need to get confrontational then obviously your marriage is never going to be comfortable unless you learn to go lower than your explosive spouse.

If they need to vent, it is not up to you to point out their misgivings

Maybe something went wrong at work or they had an issue and you can just obviously see they need to talk. You can be the one that listens but you do not need to always give solutions unless asked. You will learn that when someone is able to calm down after talking about the problem they get less and less worked up about such things.

Your partner needs to know that you have never been comfortable with anger

Some can take it as a common thing and thusly, if your partner is used to such they will always be going off without a care about what you can take. You need to let them know that when they burst out like that in a temper it makes you uncomfortable this can go a long way in making them work on it.

Work off the anger

It can always be the first or last resort. When they are just about to go off, you can always do something together to get the situation to neutral. Go for a walk, play a game or something-something other than going off because nothing that makes sense ever comes from temper.
