4 things to do before sex
12 October 2015, 16:38
Nairobi - No one wants to be the one to wake up and realize that they
have been wasting their time. Or be the one that is told, this is not going
anywhere after two years. Worse still, making plans with someone who is not wholeheartedly
in it with you. No one likes having the talk because you don’t want to look
desperate, look like you are rushing and pushing for something or there is
always the chance you would rather not hear a negative response so you do not
When you need to establish boundaries
There are people who are dating but they are not aware that
their ‘beau’ is seeing other people as well. If you are dating someone and you
set yourself up solely for them then you need to find out if they are doing the
same for you. If they are keeping their options open, then you should too.
When you are getting emotionally invested in them
Not infatuation or lust but your feelings and money too,
when you start paying off someone’s loans and debts they better be worth it.
You do not want to rush them but it is better for them to let you down now
because it will be easier to let go earlier than later on.
Before you have sex
This one is for those who go on legitimate dates first and
get to know someone before they get into bed with them. If they are pushing for
you to be intimate, then you can ask the question, ‘what are we?’ If you take
sex seriously and its consequences and are just watching out for yourself, then
ask them; because after sex you get harder bonds to break.
You are ready to have something exclusive with them
No one should dictate to you when you want something. If you
never ask, the answer will always be no so if you are ready, let them no. They
might be in the same boat as you are.
