4 things men want that women should do

24 February 2016, 16:06 Shakila Alivitsa

Nairobi - What do men want from their wives? Here are a few pointers.

Your sense of humor

Go into marriage without this one and find out the kind of dust your man will sweep you with and not just your man. There will be your kids, your in-laws and what not. You need your sense of humor; don’t be so grim at least that way you will always having something to laugh about when he mismatches his socks while he is trying to give you attitude. If you go in sad though and grim you will get wrinkles and you will always be complaining.

Maintain your sexiness

Three are no two ways to look at this and there are no number of excuses that would excuse this one. You did not marry your sibling neither did you marry someone to live with as your brother. You were sexy as a girlfriend and with all your responsibilities. Do not slack off for him to find excuses as to why you are no longer desirable. Let me tell you something, as long as there will always be another eye out there keeping an eye out for you, your man will always be coming back to find out what they see and keep it in lock. But jiachilie tu, na utaona!

Never lose your independence

Don’t stop working, unless it is your plan. Don’t stop having fun and just don’t stop enjoying the things that keep you together. As long as you are a leech, someone will always be looking for a source of excitement out there. That has never been the answer. Don’t be a leech to the husband, no matter how many or how much people will advise you to do this to keep an eye on him.

Rule No 1. You can never successfully keep tabs on a man. If he wants to get away with it, he will.

Being a cheerleader never goes out of fashion

Being supportive does not mean you are a servant. Praising someone when they have actually done well does not make you any less you any less of a being. Stop listening to the wrong people. Girlfriend duty must be maintained especially if he has always been on boyfriend duty.

Don’t be disruptive at his work or check on his client. You will chase away business and thus money and your bills will be left hanging.
