4 things a Kenyan woman hates to be told
31 March 2015, 16:50
Nairobi - Some women here in Kenya are making the rest of us look
really bad. They are making the Kenyan lady have a really bad name just from
there deed… or is it misdeeds? Like Ebola, just because West Africa was struck
does not mean that all African’s had it.
In the same way, just because some women are behaving badly
does not mean that all of us have the same characteristics and habits.
Not all of us are
The worst thing that can happen when a lady is out these
days, is be in the club. You are well dressed, dancing or minding your business
then someone comes over and asks you how much.
I do not blame you by the way. If you are asking me it just
means that you asked someone else and she accepted the offer. In Nairobi, or
Kenya these days the work has been made easier for some men. You do not need to
go on the streets. The next woman being paid for sex is always in plainer
sight. She does not need a mini-skirt or ratchet tights. She is well dressed to
the nines and looking very refined.
Just because one accepted your offer does not mean that the
rest of us have to take the insult. Get a test kit for it if need be because
not all women are out here wanting to be paid for sex. I should carry a gun, if
you ask me that question I will shoot you and I will have just cause.
On fake assets
Not the ones that you drive or go live in. I hate it when
someone asks me if I had work done. To each his own but not all of us can
afford plastic surgery.
If it looks good, it is because I know how to get to a gym
or work out at home. My lashes are mine, I did not stick anything on them or
inject Botox on my lips or some other areas. Some of us were just born with the
right set of genes from the right side of Kenya.
I understand why some man would think the ideal date is in
Nairobi West in some local. The rate at which some women take down nyama choma
and rush it down with beer is a sight to behold. Little wonder beer bellies are
out and about.
That does not mean that because some can do it you should
subject the rest of us to the same when you ask for our time. Some of us would
like a real date and one that is not adjacent to your local so that we can take
a detour after.
Just because you have
money does not mean you are entitled to me
I would like to cry in a Porsche and not a bicycle but that
does not mean that I want to wake up next to face that looks like it walked
into a wall.
A lot of us do have standards by the way; personality and
character are a player too. Money will not make up for your lack of wit or
humor. Making me suffer through a drought the whole dinner time. I need to be
with someone I can have an intelligent conversation with.
Having money does not mean you can pull up at the side of
the road and offer for me.
