Nairobi - MCA's have abandoned a Governor who has joined the Jubilee Coalition and threatened to remove him from office come the 2017 elections.
Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka, who has joined the Jubilee Party has been told by MCA's that he will not be supported come the 2917 polls.
The 38 ward representatives who make up over half those in Bungoma (63), said in a statement that they have to send Governor Kenneth Lusaka home
They told journalists, after a closed-door meeting with ODM politician Alfred Khangati, that electing Lusaka was a mistake.
said the Governor has "given them a raw deal through shoddy projects
and misplaced priorities of the current administration".
They cited rampant corruption and underdevelopment as some of the ills they want to undo.
" We have approved funds for development and unfortunately not much has been implemented by the executive," they said in the statement seen by News24.
" We know that at the end of the day, all the elected and nominated MCAs
will face the same challenge as Lusaka who has failed the residents as
their first governor," they added.
Lusaka has ditched the New Ford Kenya Party and is now part of the ruling Jubilee Party.
