3 things we learnt from Uhuru, Ruto Bomet trip

Nairobi - What did we learn from the President and his Deputy's trip to Isaac Ruto's Bomet County?
Uhuru and Ruto know how to silence critics
They could have made a statement from anywhere in Kenya but chose Bomet, the only place of opposition to the Jubilee coalition in the South Rift.
They were both on fire, Uhuru with his newspaper for meat wrapping comment and Ruto calling on Bomet leaders to stop politicking. They were there to silence the opposition CORD coalition and Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto and they did it with aplomb.
Ruto vs Rutto is a non contest
It has all been about the growth and rebirth of Isaac Ruto in the last three years. He has made a nuisance of himself and he has been all over the place.
William Ruto though, is where he is by merit and he showed it by racking in a huge crowd at the Bomet Stadium and getting them to sing to his tune.
Frankly, Ruto vs Rutto is not even Mayweather vs Pacquiao. That was a close one. Their battle is a no contest. DP Ruto wins without a sweat.
URP has no option but to join JAP
Whether they like it or not, DP Ruto will be in government come the aftermath of the 2017 elections and he will be there courtesy the Jubilee Alliance Party.
The United Republican Party will lose identity with a merger that has not been met with happiness from some URP diehards, but Ruto is not DP by fluke, he has made his way up there and he will not want to jeopardize that calling for a split from JAP.
Come 2022, it might be a different case but at the moment, Ruto is in JAP to stay. Take it or leave it.
