3 reasons to dump long distance relationships

Nairobi - Should you dump long distance relationships? Here's some reasons to.
Letting each other’s
time zones dictate how you personally live
It is usually the number one problem for couples when one is
in a completely different time zone as compared to what they are leaving
behind. In panic for wanting to keep it together and stay in touch you decide
that you should communicate as much as possible and as frequently as possible.
You keep having to rush home to reach them at a particular time or letting go
of some of your activities because there is only one particular time the other
one is available. There is nothing wrong with accepting defeat when it comes to
High frequency does not mean you are doing it right. You can
both discuss what is more acceptable and come up with a time line that the both
of you can deal with. If you keep forcing it, you will eventually ruin the
enjoyment of talking to the other person because it is now becoming like work.
people’s pressure and opinion dictate how your relationship works
Obviously, there will be a lot of people offering both their
solicited or unsolicited opinion on how to do and what to do. Avoid taking too
much of outside in especially if the two of you had already reached an
agreement. You will start having doubts and before you know it making up things
on what your partner is up to or making assumptions as to why they are not
agreeing to your changes. Stick to the program the two of you came up with
because it is what you actually agreed on.
Look for other ways
of communicating other than the internet
It will reach a point your spouse will feel like a Facebook
friend or a colleague. Look for more ways to stay in touch and show them that
you are actually thinking of them. If you can find a way to surprise them, then
do so; if you can afford it, the better. If you cannot, then just use delivery
or mailing systems to do a thing or two. It all goes a long way.
