3 reasons alcohol kills relationships
04 December 2015, 16:08
Nairobi - One night stands, people are definitely drunk. Also goes
without saying that there is that one time or a time your significant other saw
you wasted but if they were as well you get a pass. But there are just times
when you need to manage your alcohol no matter the type of brands that are laid
out for you to have freely. One time impressions can never be easily erased,
If you were hoping to be with someone and they keep seeing
you in your cups, trust me, if they are adults, they are cancelling the idea of
you being one. No one wants to always be watching someone’s cup at events.
Initially dating and getting to know them-extends to the
first days of the relationship
Unless you are in a very Christian relationship and you have
both decided never to drink, most dates usually happen with liquor involved. It
starts at the bar then dinner; or dinner then the bar. That s why, if you know
you are a light weight eat something if you know you will be having drinks-just
don’t get drunk around them. A date that ends with someone having to drag you
somewhere is not something that someone wants to repeat.
When you are meeting the family
This goes without saying, but if possible, do not drink. If
they are passing it around, drink that one bottle the whole time. Handle the
liquor in front of the parents, siblings and relatives. Sleeping on the floor
will not win you points.
When your partner invites you to their work event
Image is everything; personality is a plus but image never
misses the mark. Your partner might have created a nice impression at work only
for you to go to their work event, drink, then become loud, dancing indecently,
being clumsy and raising eyebrows. Do not ruin someone 9-5 that happens 5/ 6
days of the week.
