Nairobi - Three Kenya Airways flights have been diverted to Mombasa and Tanzania over bad weather, the airline has said.
Airline officials said that flights KQ765, KQ499 and KQ552 were diverted to Mombasa and Tanzania after experts stated it was dangerous due to foggy weather.
Kenya Airways said the flights were scheduled to land back at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Wednesday at 9.15 am, 9.17 am and 9.46 am respectively.
“Due to adverse weather conditions in Nairobi this morning, three flights were diverted, KQ765, KQ499, KQ552,” the airline said in a statement Wednesday.
The delay seriously inconvenienced travelers, some who had early morning meetings in the city.
" I had an 8 o'clock meeting in Nairobi and this delay has been a serious problem for me," a passenger Rajesh Shah told News24.
