3 Women arrested for rape and kidnapping

Three ladies alleged to have been behind the Kidnapping and raping of a 18 year old form three student have been arrested and arraigned in court.

Confirming the incident that shocked the villagers’ of Kariene location in Imenti Central District the area OCPD Sylvester Githungo said the three suspects are also helping the police with investigation over the incident.

“The matter is progressing well and soon we will net the kidnappers who raped the girl severally over a period of three days,” said the OCPD.

Githungo also saidd that the women aged between 20-28 years old were charged with assault after they were accused of attacking and assaulting the victim on her way home at Kariene market the previous day before the student went missing.

He further said the CID officers are carrying out the investigations before presenting it to the Attorney General's office for further directives.

The form three student went missing last week before she was dumped on a roadside three days later before she was rescued by police at Embakasi Police Station who took her to Nairobi Women's Hospital for treatment.

The Victim has petitioned the police commissioner Mathew Iteere to intervene and have the culprit arrested and prosecuted.

The victim alleged that justice is being delayed after reporting the matter to Kariene Police station in Imenti Central District.

Together with her 45 year old single mother, they have called on police to urgently intervene noting justice delayed is justice denied.
