28 February 2013, 17:07 Ngarae Elias

Two students from Nyeri High School are admitted in a local hospital with serious injuries while 25 others have been discharged after they were involved in a road accident along Mathari - Nyeri road at 8am.

The students were going home after they were released for half term.

The victims were rushed to Mathari Mission Hospital immediately where 25 of them were treated and discharged.

The hospital's nurse in charge Jeremiah Motari confirmed that they received 27 students who had various degrees of injuries.

"Those we admitted sustained dislocation of tissues and deep cuts on face and legs, and they are responding well to treatment," said Motari.

He said they managed to treat and discharge 25 of them but two are still in the facility undergoing treatment.

The accidents involved two matatus when one of them rammed the other from rear.
