Nairobi - Deputy President William Ruto says that he will win the 2022 General Election and that a Jubilee Coalition win in 2017 is already secured.
The DP, speaking in Isiolo Saturday, stated that there was no one stopping him from victory come the 2022 polls and that an arrangement within the Jubilee coalition already sees him as flag bearer.
He also called on the opposition, led by CORD leader Raila Odinga to simply accept defeat and move on.
" I call on them to throw in the towel and accept defeat. We all know that the 2017 elections is over and we are now looking forward to 2022, where I will run and win the Presidency," he stated bullishly.
Ruto also believes that he has the support of the Jubilee coalition in full.
" If you ask them ( Referring to MPs), they will tell you that I am the main man and they are behind me," he stated.
Ruto was accompanied by 17 MPs in Isiolo.
They included Jimmy Angwenyi (Kitutu Chache North), Dennis Waweru (Dagoreti South) Janet Nangabo (Trans Nzoia), David Pkosing (Pokot South), Rachel Shebesh (Nairobi), Mary Emase (Teso South), Bonface Otsiula (Bumula) and John Munuve (Mwingi North), Abdul Rahim Dawood (Imenti North), Stephen Ngare (Ndia), Mutahi Kimaru (Laikipia East), Tiya Galgalo (Isiolo), Daniel Nanok, Fatuma Dullo (nominated) Mohammed Adan (Mandera) Banticha Abdullahi (Isiolo South) and Joseph Samal (Isiolo North).
