18 passengers escape death along Salgaa stretch

Nakuru - Two days after three people died at Salgaa black spot, 18 other passengers escaped death on Monday after a mini-bus they were travelling in lost control and plunged into a ditch at the same stretch.
The mini-bus which was headed to Nakuru is said to have been overtaking a personal car before it lost control and veered off the road.
According to Rongai OCPD, Joseph Mwamburi who spoke with the media, no one died during the afternoon accident along the Nakuru - Eldoret highway.

He said that 18 passengers who were aboard the bus escaped with minors injuries and were rushed to Nakuru General Hospital for treatment.
“The bus only plunged into the ditch but we did not have any death,” he said.
He cautioned the drivers using the road to be extra careful adding that they will not spare anyone who will be caught speeding on the road.
