Nairobi - 155 MPs have signed a petition to impeach Devolution CS Anne Waiguru over corruption allegations, Nandi Hills Mp Alfred Keter has said.
Keter told News24 Monday that by 4.30 PM, 155 had signed the petition and that he was certain the number would reach 200.
" We have her in a dark corner. She is not getting out of this one," the MP said.
A previous attempt to impeach Waiguru failed last month after the required quorum of 87 MPs to get it onto the reading stage was not achieved.
Only 80 MPs signed last time out.
Waiguru has been under pressure to resign over corruption at the Devolution Ministry said to run into the Billions of Shillings.
Keter is adamant that this time it will come to pass.
" Kenyans have spoken and they are not happy with the CS. She needs to leave and let another person take care of the ministry," he added
Waiguru has for a long time denied that she has overseen the continued plundering of resources at the Ministry, saying she is not involved in matters such as procurement.
