150 leaders expected at Ruto ICC prayer meeting

Nairobi - Around 150 Jubilee Coalition leaders are expected at Deputy President William Ruto's ICC prayer meting in Kuresoi.
The leaders drawn from the two major parties, The National Alliance TNA and United Republican Front URP will take part in the prayer meeting to be held to lobby the government and the International Criminal Court ICC to free Ruto and co accused Joshua Sang from their Crimes Against Humanity charges.
" Nearly 150 leaders have said they will attend," Majority Leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale told News24.
Duale had Friday sent a text message to Coalition members to attend the meeting to rally support for Ruto.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is not expected to be there.
The meeting comes in the wake of the move by the ICC to allow recanted evidence used in Ruto and Sang's case, which according to observers has increased the likely-hood that they might be found guilty by the court.
