11 Mandera attack victims’ bodies transported home for burial

Nyeri - 11 bodies of quarry workers who were killed at Soko Mbuzi village in Mandera County last week have been transported to Nyeri County referral hospital Mortuary ahead of a mass burial ceremony.
Their coffins were transferred from Nairobi Chiromo Mortuary by two Administration Police lorries.
Deputy Director of Disaster Management Unit and Incident Commander at Chiromo Mortuary, Pius Masai said that confirmation of the bodies had been made prior to the transfer.
Nyeri County Executive in charge of public Administration, Priscilla Wanyiri said the County government will be taking care of mortuary fee and transportation to the burial place.
