Mercedes train under racing conditions

21 March 2012, 17:05

Mercedes aim to solve problems with excessive tyre wear by practicing in racing conditions for Sunday's Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix.

Mercedes motorsport chief Norbert Haug told dpa after a disappointing start to the season in Australia on the weekend that the German team want to solve the problem as quickly as possible.

"Our team is working on an analysis," said Haug. "In the practice sessions in Sepang on Friday and Saturday we'll be testing under racing conditions as much as possible."
