16 January 2015, 08:44

Lagos - A 17-year-old girl from Alabama thought she had been dead for three years without knowing she was suffering from Cotard Syndrome, a delusional syndrome, DailyMail reported.

The teen girl would occasionally feel very numb and see images of a graveyard or when shopping suddenly believe she's dead and no longer on earth.

She spent most of her mornings and afternoons sleeping and be awake during the night. She continued to fantasize about zombies and watch horror movies.

After two years her parents took her to a therapist which diagnosed her with Cotard Syndrome which is commonly known as"Walking Corpse Syndrome".

She received therapy and has since stopped feeling like a dead person or fantasizing about zombies.
