Shot in the head? Just get some ointment

Abuja - A man in the US is finally under professional care after treating a gunshot wound to his head with an ointment for five days.

According to reports, the 43-year-old James Doppler was handling the gun when it went off, Huffington Post reports.

He then refused his girlfriend’s order to go to hospital and opted instead to apply an antibiotic ointment.

A couple of days later, he experienced the usual symptoms associated with gunshot wounds: pain, agony and his life flashing before his eyes.

He then finally decided to get some help.
