Rose Nasimiyu feted

Nairobi - Nine-year-old Rose Nasimiyu who is battling with cancer, was feted on Monday by Jubilee Insurance for her exceptional bravery and efforts to inspire other terminally ill patients.
Handing over the Jubilee Insurance Samaritan Award (JISA) to Nasimiyu, Jubilee Kenya General Manager, Short Term Business, Lydia Kibaara said that Rose is a warrior in a world where people are losing hope. Jubilee recognises her strength and her determination and awards her the Jubilee Insurance Samaritan Award, Kibaara added as she spoke to The Standard.
As she received the award, Nasimiyu recalled her chemotherapy sessions, saying “They put you on a drip for eight hours and then after that I always feel nausea, I vomit, I can vomit like 12 times a day and after that I feel a little better."
