GRAPHIC VIDEO: 'Don't shoot! I'm pregnant!'

24 June 2014, 15:33

Abuja - Shocking CCTV footage has emerged as police in Florida, US, seek information about a mobile phone store robbery, according to the Stir.

The video shows a man entering a store, making small talk with the employee behind the counter and then, without warning, punching her in the face and demanding that she open the cash register. At one point the female store employee can be heard begging the robber not to shoot as she’s pregnant.

The woman reportedly received treatment for a broken nose, and the man escaped with cash from the till.

Video footage like this highlights that pregnant women are just as vulnerable to violent crime as anyone else, and that the perception that no one would be heartless enough to harm someone carrying an unborn baby is wrong.
