Film classification board launches safe internet use campaign in schools

Nairobi - The Kenya Film Classification Board has picked on schools as a platform to campaign for safe internet use.

Speaking during a hokey tournament organised by Moi Girls Nairobi Sunday, the CEO, Mr Ezekiel Mutua, said the future of Kenya is in hands of the youth who should be guarded from bad influence if the internet.

“While the internet is a source of valuable information, it can easily ruin moral values of our youth when not properly used,” noted Mr Mutua.

The one-day friendly tournament brought together Moi Girls Nairobi, Kerugoya Girls, St Joseph’s Kibwezi Girls and Kianda School. These are schools that perform well in hokey. Kerugoya Girls was named the better team at the end of the day.
