Professor Ali Mazrui dies aged 81

Nairobi - Kenya has lost a renowned scholar and political writer Professor Ali Mazrui.
Prof Mazrui, who was born on 24 February, 1933, died on Monday morning in the United States of America.
Until his death, Mazrui was a professor at Binghamton University in New York.
His family members said he was unwell for some months, Daily Nation reports.
Prof Mazrui once served as Chancellor of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and also wrote 30 books.
He has left behind a wife and six children.
